Alexander Graf is the publisher of the blog Kassenzone and founder of the consulting company eTribes. He is also the founder and CEO of Spryker Systems, a venture he founded together with Project A Ventures in November 2014. Besides all that, he is the author of numerous specialist articles and books about digital business model strategy. Together with Nils Seebach and Tarek Müller as other eTribes shareholders, Alexander Graf is active in various Hamburg e-business committees and is an active shareholder in leading digital companies. As the curator of the Digital Commerce Day & the K5 Cruise, he is more than a person in charge when it we are talking about digitalization and e-business.

Courtney Hendrickson is Director of Innovation at Ocean Spray International, Inc.. Courtney has been with Ocean Spray for over 14 years now. She runs Global Innovation and has been in her current position since 2019. Prior to that Courtney has been a Senior Manager of Ingredient Innovation & Marketing, leading the ingredient innovation and market development strategy to grow cranberry demand globally. Prior to this position, Courtney lead the Ingredient Business Development Team for North & South America for 3 years, responsible for key sales initiatives resulting in double-digit growth on dried cranberries during her tenure. Courtney has been with Ocean Spray since 2006, working in Sales & Marketing roles on both the Ingredients & Branded businesses.
Prior to Ocean Spray, she worked in Global Brand Marketing at The Gillette Company (now Procter & Gamble). Courtney holds a BA from Colby College in Waterville, ME and a MBA in Marketing from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston.

Dirk Schmidt

Dirk Schmidt, General Manager and Partner at Bösch Boden Spies
In June 1998, the second generation of the Schmidt owners joined the company in the person of Dirk Schmidt. Dirk started his career at Bösch Boden Spies in the Frozen Fruit Department. From 2002 onwards, he became responsible for the newly founded concentrate department and developed this new unit to a significant new business section for BBS. Dirk became a Managing Partner in 2006 , succeeding his father. As the general manager for the Frozen & concentrate business he continued the strong growth of both business units. In addition, the growing need for transparency and security led him to the establishment of a separate Quality Management department in 2008. Dirk is now working on the constant digitalization of the company besides his overall responsibilities for the Finance, Controlling, Logistics & IT side of the business.

Dirk had begun his business career at Krahn Chemie GmbH in Hamburg in 1991 with an apprenticeship as a wholesale and export merchant. After completing his training, he gained sales experience for two years before completing his studies and a degree in business management with a focus on corporate management and controlling, which laid the foundation for his entry into the family business.

Felix Ahlers

Felix Ahlers, General Manager and CEO at Frosta AG
Ahlers, son of Frosta owner Dirk Ahlers, first trained as a chef at the Hotel “Le Bristol” in Paris from 1986 to 1988 and then studied economics at the Université Paris Dauphine IX from 1988 to 1992. After his studies he worked from 1992 to 1995 in marketing and sales for Western Europe for the Italian food manufacturer Delverde. From 1995 to 1997 he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. From 1997 to 1999 he was manager at the Sheraton Hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
Ahlers has been working for his family company Frosta AG since 1999. He started as General Manager at “Frosta Polska” and was responsible for all foreign business from 2002 to 2003. Felix Ahlers has been CEO of Frosta AG since 2010.
As a trained chef, Ahlers has personally prepared two Frosta dishes, among others. He is regarded as the developer of the “Original Frosta Reinheitsgebot”: Frosta has not used any additives since 2003.

Hanni Rützler, Founder & CEO at futurefoodstudio
As a pioneer in nutritional science, as a consultant and researcher with her multidisciplinary approach to questions of eating and drinking behaviour, Hanni Rützler has made a name for herself far beyond the German-speaking world, not only since her legendary tasting of the first in-vitro burger in London. Hanni Rützler, studied ecology at Michigan Technology University, USA, and nutritional science, sociology and psychology at the University of Vienna. She is the founder and managing director of the futurefoodstudio in Vienna; since 2004 consultant of the Zukunftsinstitut in Vienna and Frankfurt (Germany). In 2015 Hanni Rützler was appointed Bread Senator of the Association of German Industrial Bakeries and since 2017 she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dr. Rainer Wild Foundation for Healthy Nutrition, Heidelberg (Germany).

As a successful author of numerous books and studies, as a speaker at conferences and congresses, and as an experienced workshop leader, she is highly regarded above all for her qualities as a mediator between theory and practice, who has a profound knowledge of the different “logics” of gastronomy and agriculture, of health policy and the food industry, of nutritional science and consumers, and knows how to communicate this knowledge.

For his contribution to shaping the sustainable protein ecosystem and accelerating the Protein Shift he was rewarded with the dutch Food100 golden award and a position in the Sustainable Top 100.

Dr. Julia Köhn is a digital entrepreneur, philosopher and economist. She is currently managing partner of PIELERS GmbH. In the past, Dr. Köhn founded several companies, worked in reorganization and restructuring consulting and built up new digital business areas for various companies. With a unique understanding of the branded retail and food service business, Jansen’s career achievements include leading the brand growth for Haagen-Dazs, Betty Crocker, Totino’s, Pillsbury, Red Baron, Freschetta, Wolfgang Puck, Tony’s and Minh.
Prior to joining Blue Diamond®, Jansen was president of Schwan’s Food Service in Marshall, Minnesota, where he led the profitable turnaround of the division. He also worked for the Pillsbury Company, Edison Brothers Stores, Inc. and General Mills, Inc.

Jansen received his MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University in 1994.

He currently serves on the Executive Council for the California Chamber of Commerce, is on the Executive Council for the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, is a Director for the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council, and is on the Board of Trustees for the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Learning.

Michael Rund joined Bösch Boden Spies in 1990 as a sales merchant. Before that, Michael completed his apprenticeship in 1985 in foreign trade and made a career in sales at the Hamburg company Martha Bünger (import, packaging, and processing of dried fruit and nuts).

In 1996, Michael was appointed third partner at Bösch Boden Spies. To enhance the company’s product expertise, additional new departments such as Marketing, Business Development as well as Product Development were created under the leadership of Michael. Today, these departments support the sales team and our customers and suppliers with analyses, communication and product concepts, as well as turnkey multi-channel campaigns. Niccolo Manzoni – Founding Partner – Five Seasons Ventures
Niccolò has been investing in Food Tech since 2014, and created and managed a portfolio of 10 high-profile Food Tech companies, including Impossible Foods, Clara Foods, Beyond Meat, JUST, Perfect Day and Clear Labs, as part of a leading European family office. His experience includes sourcing, diligence and growth strategy for early stage companies in Food Tech and, more broadly, in tech.

Previously, he was Project Manager at strategy consulting firm Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), focusing on food ingredients, healthcare, consumer and industrial goods, across strategic marketing and organisational engagements. Prior to that, he worked as part of the McKinsey & Co. Management Matters initiative on management best practices and their impact on productivity and efficiency in the public (healthcare and education) and private (manufacturing) sectors.

Niccolò holds a BSc in Management from Bocconi University and an MSc in International Affairs from the London School of Economics and Peking University.
