Alexander Graf, Co-Founder & Co-CEO at Spryker/Founder & eTribes
Alexander Graf is the publisher of the blog Kassenzone and founder of the consulting company eTribes. He is also the founder and CEO of Spryker Systems, a venture he founded together with Project A Ventures in November 2014. Besides all that, he is the author of numerous specialist articles and books about digital business model strategy. Together with Nils Seebach and Tarek Müller as other eTribes shareholders, Alexander Graf is active in various Hamburg e-business committees and is an active shareholder in leading digital companies. As the curator of the Digital Commerce Day & the K5 Cruise, he is more than a person in charge when it we are talking about digitalization and e-business.

Christian Schiller, Co-Founder & CEO at cirplus
Christian has set himself the goal of unleashing the full potential of the circular economy. Ever since his legs got tangled in a carpet of plastic waste off the coast of Colombia in January 2018, he has been concentrating all his energy on making our handling of recyclables completely sustainable. Before that, he spent more than four years building the German site of the world’s largest digital car-sharing platform, BlaBlaCar, which today has more than 65 million users.

Courtney Hendrickson is Director of Innovation at Ocean Spray International, Inc.. Courtney has been with Ocean Spray for over 14 years now. She runs Global Innovation and has been in her current position since 2019. Prior to that Courtney has been a Senior Manager of Ingredient Innovation & Marketing, leading the ingredient innovation and market development strategy to grow cranberry demand globally. Prior to this position, Courtney lead the Ingredient Business Development Team for North & South America for 3 years, responsible for key sales initiatives resulting in double-digit growth on dried cranberries during her tenure. Courtney has been with Ocean Spray since 2006, working in Sales & Marketing roles on both the Ingredients & Branded businesses.
Prior to Ocean Spray, she worked in Global Brand Marketing at The Gillette Company (now Procter & Gamble). Courtney holds a BA from Colby College in Waterville, ME and a MBA in Marketing from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston.

Dirk Schmidt

Dirk Schmidt, General Manager and Partner at Bösch Boden Spies
In June 1998, the second generation of the Schmidt owners joined the company in the person of Dirk Schmidt. Dirk started his career at Bösch Boden Spies in the Frozen Fruit Department. From 2002 onwards, he became responsible for the newly founded concentrate department and developed this new unit to a significant new business section for BBS. Dirk became a Managing Partner in 2006 , succeeding his father. As the general manager for the Frozen & concentrate business he continued the strong growth of both business units. In addition, the growing need for transparency and security led him to the establishment of a separate Quality Management department in 2008. Dirk is now working on the constant digitalization of the company besides his overall responsibilities for the Finance, Controlling, Logistics & IT side of the business.

Dirk had begun his business career at Krahn Chemie GmbH in Hamburg in 1991 with an apprenticeship as a wholesale and export merchant. After completing his training, he gained sales experience for two years before completing his studies and a degree in business management with a focus on corporate management and controlling, which laid the foundation for his entry into the family business.


Felix Ahlers

Felix Ahlers, General Manager and CEO at Frosta AG
Ahlers, son of Frosta owner Dirk Ahlers, first trained as a chef at the Hotel “Le Bristol” in Paris from 1986 to 1988 and then studied economics at the Université Paris Dauphine IX from 1988 to 1992. After his studies he worked from 1992 to 1995 in marketing and sales for Western Europe for the Italian food manufacturer Delverde. From 1995 to 1997 he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. From 1997 to 1999 he was manager at the Sheraton Hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
Ahlers has been working for his family company Frosta AG since 1999. He started as General Manager at “Frosta Polska” and was responsible for all foreign business from 2002 to 2003. Felix Ahlers has been CEO of Frosta AG since 2010.
As a trained chef, Ahlers has personally prepared two Frosta dishes, among others. He is regarded as the developer of the “Original Frosta Reinheitsgebot”: Frosta has not used any additives since 2003.

Gil Horsky is part of the founding team for SnackFutures, the venture & innovation hub from Mondelēz International. Gil, and his team in SnackFutures, are on a mission to create a vibrant ecosystem of partners to invent and to make venture investments in the next generation of snacks and entrepreneurs.
Throughout his career, Gil Horsky has had the privilege to innovate and market some of the most iconic global brands: Milka, Pepsi, Quaker Oats, Toblerone, Cadbury, Oreo, Tropicana & Nestle, and to work across the globe: US, Europe and the Middle East.
Gil holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.



Gregory Dubourg, CEO at NUTRIKEO
Gregory run sa unique nutrition and health consulting agency – trusted partner of over 200 clients, from start-ups to world-renowned groups. He started Nutrikéo in 2009, from the personal belief that nutrition helps contribute to health and well-being. Since then, the team has grown, along the ambition of making nutrition accessible and positive through our 4 areas of expertise: market research, innovation, communication and education.

Today, he is the proud CEO of a HappyAtWork-labelled company of 30 talents, which uniquely combines the expertise of a market research institute, a marketing and communication consultancy and a training organization. Passionate about innovation and how new technologies can influence one’s eating habits, or improve global nutrition, I have made of monitoring, watch and listening a daily routine and a true expertise serving Nutrikéo and our clients. When not digging around for inspiration and innovative ideas, he is a comics reader, yoga lover and an ultra-trailer. Gregory is an ingeneur in Nutrition and Health from AgroParis Tech.


Hanni Ruetzler

Hanni Rützler, Founder & CEO at futurefoodstudio
As a pioneer in nutritional science, as a consultant and researcher with her multidisciplinary approach to questions of eating and drinking behaviour, Hanni Rützler has made a name for herself far beyond the German-speaking world, not only since her legendary tasting of the first in-vitro burger in London. Hanni Rützler, studied ecology at Michigan Technology University, USA, and nutritional science, sociology and psychology at the University of Vienna. She is the founder and managing director of the futurefoodstudio in Vienna; since 2004 consultant of the Zukunftsinstitut in Vienna and Frankfurt (Germany). In 2015 Hanni Rützler was appointed Bread Senator of the Association of German Industrial Bakeries and since 2017 she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dr. Rainer Wild Foundation for Healthy Nutrition, Heidelberg (Germany).

As a successful author of numerous books and studies, as a speaker at conferences and congresses, and as an experienced workshop leader, she is highly regarded above all for her qualities as a mediator between theory and practice, who has a profound knowledge of the different “logics” of gastronomy and agriculture, of health policy and the food industry, of nutritional science and consumers, and knows how to communicate this knowledge.



Dr. Hannes Kübel, Co-Founder & CEO at Foodly
Experienced Co-Founder with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. He is skilled in Business Development, Strategy, Social Media, Product Management and Management as well. Strong business development professional with a PhD in Informations Systems Management from the Technische Universität Berlin.



Jeroen Willemsen, Innovation Manager Protein Shift at Foodvalley NL – The Netherlands
Jeroen is Innovation Manager Protein Shift at Foodvalley NL Wageningen, supporting companies seeking to expand their business in the Protein Shift-arena. In 2009 he founded Ojah, producer of a revolutionary meat analogue. As CCO he successfully accompanied the start-up to a full scale production company. Following his exit in 2016, he initiated the Green Protein Alliance and The Protein Cluster, the latter being the international Protein Shift company network of Foodvalley NL. For his contribution to shaping the sustainable protein ecosystem and accelerating the Protein Shift he was rewarded with the dutch Food100 golden award and a position in the Sustainable Top 100.



Dr. Julia Köhn, CEO & Founder at PIELERS GmbH
Dr. Julia Köhn is a digital entrepreneur, philosopher and economist. She is currently managing partner of PIELERS GmbH. In the past, Dr. Köhn founded several companies, worked in reorganization and restructuring consulting and built up new digital business areas for various companies. After studying business administration, economics and philosophy at the University of Witten/Herdecke in Germany, Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Cambridge, she was awarded for her excellent research work and published by Springer Verlag under the title “Uncertainty in Economics”.

As a scholarship holder of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung she was a member of the PhD programme Social Market Economy and Fellow at the Institute for New Economic Thinking. Today she advises ministries, associations and companies as an expert.



Mark Jansen, CEO and President at Blue Diamond Growers
Mark Jansen was selected by the Blue Diamond Growers Board of Directors to become President and Chief Executive Officer on October 4, 2010. With a unique understanding of the branded retail and food service business, Jansen’s career achievements include leading the brand growth for Haagen-Dazs, Betty Crocker, Totino’s, Pillsbury, Red Baron, Freschetta, Wolfgang Puck, Tony’s and Minh.
Prior to joining Blue Diamond®, Jansen was president of Schwan’s Food Service in Marshall, Minnesota, where he led the profitable turnaround of the division. He also worked for the Pillsbury Company, Edison Brothers Stores, Inc. and General Mills, Inc.

Jansen received his MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University in 1994.

He currently serves on the Executive Council for the California Chamber of Commerce, is on the Executive Council for the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, is a Director for the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council, and is on the Board of Trustees for the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Learning.


Martin Stebens

Martin Stebens is a Business Development Manager for the mid European market for Tetra Pak. Prior to that, he has been working with the Döhler Group as Senior Category Manager for almost 5 years.
Martin has completed a traineeship for Business Development at Bayer in Malaysia and finished his Master of Science for International Marketing, Industrial Management and Innovation at the PFH Göttingen.

Michael Rund joined Bösch Boden Spies in 1990 as a sales merchant. Before that, Michael completed his apprenticeship in 1985 in foreign trade and made a career in sales at the Hamburg company Martha Bünger (import, packaging, and processing of dried fruit and nuts).

In 1996, Michael was appointed third partner at Bösch Boden Spies. To enhance the company’s product expertise, additional new departments such as Marketing, Business Development as well as Product Development were created under the leadership of Michael. Today, these departments support the sales team and our customers and suppliers with analyses, communication and product concepts, as well as turnkey multi-channel campaigns. Michael is focused with on the evaluation of new long-term partnerships with suppliers all over the world and by that analyzing the global sourcing opportunities.



Niccolo Manzoni – Founding Partner – Five Seasons Ventures
Niccolò has been investing in Food Tech since 2014, and created and managed a portfolio of 10 high-profile Food Tech companies, including Impossible Foods, Clara Foods, Beyond Meat, JUST, Perfect Day and Clear Labs, as part of a leading European family office. His experience includes sourcing, diligence and growth strategy for early stage companies in Food Tech and, more broadly, in tech.

Previously, he was Project Manager at strategy consulting firm Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), focusing on food ingredients, healthcare, consumer and industrial goods, across strategic marketing and organisational engagements. Prior to that, he worked as part of the McKinsey & Co. Management Matters initiative on management best practices and their impact on productivity and efficiency in the public (healthcare and education) and private (manufacturing) sectors.

Niccolò holds a BSc in Management from Bocconi University and an MSc in International Affairs from the London School of Economics and Peking University.



Dr. Patrick Deufel, Head of Business Development at Infarm
Since 2019 Patrick has been Head of Business Development at Infarm, a vertical farming company that innovates how urban citizens get access to fresh food. Prior to that he worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on marketing/sales as well as corporate finance/strategy topics. He started his professional career as a Researcher at Zalando in Berlin, Analyzing consumer payment choice and its influence on spending behavior.

His academic carrer started with a Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2012. In 2014 Patrick finished his Master of Banking and Finance (MBF) at the University of St.Gallen and completed his PhD in Financial Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2020 from the RWTH Aachen University.

As General manager in the management board of Bösch Boden Spies Philipp is responsible for Sales, Supply, and Portfolia Management and Innovation. He’s an entrepreneurial senior executive with experience in various industries (Food, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, e-Business) in combination with global players and hidden champions.

After completing his diploma in Media Management at the Hannover University of Music, Drama & Media Philipp Stradtmann started his professional career in e-Business as a project manager at iXL, a US-stock-market noted global e-Commerce agency network. Later he worked as a Managing Director for Pixelpark AG and Director eBusiness at US-Agency-Network Interpublic Group (IPG). 2004 he started working for the family-owned Oetker Group, where he was responsible for the following 10 years as managing directors in various companies in the B-to-B-food-division. 2010 he finished his PhD in strategic marketing at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In 2014 he switched into healthcare business by joining HARTMANN medicale textile daughter company Karl Otto Braun (KOB) as CEO. In 2018 he came back to food by entering Bösch Boden Spies als general manager.

As Co-Founder and Managing Director of ‘Hamburg Startups’, she started a platform for Hamburgs entrepreneurs to connect Startups with potential investors, Corporates, Media and future employees. Her team is made of Innovation-Scouts with the deepest knowledge of the Startup ecosystem. In 2017 Sina Gritzhun organised the Food Innovation Camp for the first time. It’s based on 4 pillars: Expo, Conference, Pitch and Matchmakings for food startups from Europe.
